What is Equimpulse?

Equimpulse is a training and rehabilitation system based on tensegrity that combines an orthopedic, elastic body band with special straps and bands to specifically stimulate certain contact and reflex points. Developed according to the principles of equine and human physical therapy, it safely activates both deep and superficial muscles and improves proprioception, posture, strength, and balance—without straining the joints.

What is Tensegrity/Biotensegrity?

Tensegrity (often Tensegrität/Biotensegrität in German) refers to a structural principle in which continuous tension and local compression work together to create stable, efficient form and movement. In the horse, this refers to the interplay of muscles, fascia, skeleton, ligaments, and tendons. Equimpulse utilizes this principle to promote neuromuscular feedback and whole-body coordination.

Equimpulse was developed to help Rosi, a mare suffering from ataxia and on box rest after surgery, when dhe conventional neuromuscular techniques brought only limited benefits. Inspired by

therapeutic bandages and targeted activation concepts, the system enabled correct posture, better weight distribution, and a regained functional use of the body — results that were confirmed in further users.
